Engineer-General Diana Feng watching the Aresian Fleet leave just as news broke about Imperial Venus coming to their aid. Her brother Corps Head Han Apollo and the Master Ranger Mao Umbra have both left to prepare for the War of Kuiato. Perhaps the greatest war of there time. Or another failure to mark on the Cooperative, Sybian and Domuian history. Push come to shove, Cyon will leave them, Aresia will try and hide. Empire will be timid, and others? Unreliable, planning to push the knife.

The recent alliance and treaty announced between Cooperative and Imperials, have met with bellicose assaults by the Mobians. And they go to defend backwater Kuiato when the two threats, Mattibean and Mobius remain circling. Ready to attack like a carcass. She has been left to prepare Cooperative forces for battle. But like vultures, Mobians and Mattibeans encircle, already outstretching their claws to attack.

“Diana Feng, entering my Battle Class Commander Artemis Ryu,” she breathes in and sets the command sequence to her droids and Mecha, “This Engineer-General Diana Feng, while Master Ranger Mao Umbra and Corps Head Han Apollo, are out preparing to fight to defend Kuiato, I have been placed in charge.”

Diana sighing gripping her controls, she should be out by Pluto, piloting her personal Commander, the Annihilation Class Second Guardsmen, “while we expect the Venusians Assault to strike Pluto, where the fleets of Cooperative and Aresia will intend to meet them in battle. We remaining Corps and Engineers, have been given the charge of protecting our homeland. To this end, as Engineer-General I am issuing the activation for all remaining Commander Pods. For all Artillery Defensive Class Mecha And Robotech Fighters to be placed on high alert.”

Continuing Diana speaks louder, “I won’t lie, I rather be on Pluto helping my brother head the defense of Kuiato. Like Mao, and working to call on old alliances. But Kuiato, while a proud part of our people...” she pauses, then continues, “is one not the most glamorous or otherwise life. But it’s Cooperative. But even as new enemies come to do battle, we must not forget old ones. Pacifica has threatened war now for Sulawesi and to force one of our territories to recognize the sovereignty of their puppet. Mattibean only a generation ago launched a massive and unprovoked attack against our people.”

“To this end, we are down just under half the Corps. And another quarter Mecha is under extensive repairs. And like vultures they encircle. To this end, don’t just look to the skies, look across the Sea. Why wouldn’t Mattopia join these revolutionaries?” Diana leaving the hanger as the Mecha Teams and Droids around her rumble to life, “We are dying species of a dying era.”

“We believe in something is only worth this merit. A person value not with titles or connections, but by strength of character and bodies. To this we banned political parties, as methods of passing money and more from one generation to another. Until Mattibean wrongfully enforced their mistaken beliefs on us. We have no inheritance of stock even within what other nations call family units. Everyone, except ironically in Kuiato and Neo Vietnam, is born into this world alone. And then through trials and hardship, they find their own path.”

Diana commanders enters the city square of Domere, “To this we mustn’t forget for all their preaching and more. Venusians care about the worker, they don’t value the worker. Each worker in a true capitolist society, gets what they deserve through meriterous work. Not connections, and every day strives to better then they were yesterday,” Diana breathes in, “my brother and I both tested into the Corps program. But he studied harder, was more adept at strategic and long term thinking. Earning his way to the head of Corps. While I worked hard, and while didn’t become a commander pilot. I worked my way and became an engineer. And then by hard work and more I worked my way to being Engingeer General, earning the right to Pilot of the Three Commander Annihilation Class.”

Diana continues “And to everyone who is evesdropping and those Kuiato, knew this fact. The Cooperative values each and everyone of you. And when you meet Venus, know our finest have come to defend you. We will not lose.”

The Baujantec Consortium expresses its customary sadness at the growth of war in the galaxy and calls for peace between all belligerents. The Entinates are blessed by Janisis to engage in a commercial relationship in which prosperity is delivered and people's dignity is maintained by the corporation. While we may have some fundamental disagreements with some nations who feel our system and that of our allies are destructive, we believe in a better, more humane way of addressing whatever ideological divides we have. An international team of observers could have been dispatched to determine the exact economic and social situation on Kuaito, followed by an international board working with the Cooperative government to work out reforms, but instead we have war and conquest.

The VSFSR seems to be supporting the land-hungry USG in taking Kuaito and helping rebuild a communist Sybian nation under their leadership. It is wrong and disconcerting that rather than winning at the negotiation table or on the battlefield of ideas, major governments are resorting to invasion as a means of getting their way. The Consortium condemns these actions whenever and wherever they occur, and asserts its preparedness to protect its own population from violent ideological overtures by other states.

In other news, continued efforts are underway to repair the damage done in the aftermath of the Szalchtho terror attack. Much of Nauthet has been effectively secured and depopulated in order to enhance safety procedures and assess the surrounding area. SMARTsoil facilities are already online, liquefying and molding the land bit by bit as the small mountain range is packed into submission and being prepared for engraving. A religious ceremony is being held by The Adored One Uturaam at the site in coming days.

The holy man is already in the sprawling tent-cities that have cropped up outside the city's vast crater walls, much of which crumbled with initial impacts. Made from a bioengineered plant materials and supported with vast beams of crystal and iron, the cities are their own little microstates, housing hundreds of thousands of people in less than ideal conditions. The Adored One prays, eats, and sleeps with the ailing citizens of Nauthet to restore their strength and endow them with the joy of Janisis. He says Nauthet was like Oorvale, cursed and decadent. He says the people of Nauthet have been given a mixed blessing by the Life-Death Entity, and that the Cult will help them find new homes that honor the Martian deity. Reactions to his goodwill tour have been mixed, but are generally appreciated.

An international board... like the Cooperative shareholder board, to which the VSFSR, PREU, UMC, WRT, Pacifica, Neonam, and League of Cairo all belonged? Your hUmAnE SYstEm is useless as binoculars to a blind man, and does even less to better the situation of the workers. Because we tried to better their situation from the inside. Do you think that a nation with the lowest level of military spending as a percentage of GDP of any major power, one with an army numbering a whopping two million, thought that war was a good and easy recourse if there were alternatives? Of course not. But when the Cooperative government refuses to accept reform packages, there's only two choices: consent to worker oppression, or use violence of action to liberate the downtrodden. We know that you revel in oppression and would see no issue with consenting, but we of the VSFSR are not so timid.

If it's so easy, come win at the negotiation table, fatface. Come tell me, with words alone, on this mythic battlefield of ideas, that I should forsake any ideal I currently have. Come, convince me to end federalism, socialism, democracy. Think I'm going to concede because you have pretty words? Even if your speech wasn't as repulsive as your face, and was in fact the poetry of the gods themselves, it's not going to convince a true believer to change their ways. If you believe in something, you fight for it. If you pretend to believe in something, you signal virtue by talking about it and taking no action.

Unreliable, planning to push the knife.

"Without revolutionary fervor, an army will not fight," announces People's Revolutionary Front theoretician Jose Rokavich. "Cyon, as it has shown in the past, will desert its allies at the first sign of danger, because their lukewarm democracy and uninspired values provide no moral sustenance for their forces. Aresia, too, while historically close to Venus, has no stomach for the fight, and their traditional lack of involvement in international affairs leaves their forces decrepit and unprepared for the fight."

"The Empire is a bunch of leeches that are too busy screwing their sisters to actually plan an assault. Their so-called noble officers fret over the money they spend on whores and drugs, and how they'll justify their degenerate spending habits to their parents, who are scarcely less degenerate than they. They lack the respect of their soldiers, who fight mercenarily, for pay, and not for true, fervent, beliefs, as do the men of the Revolutionary Army."

"The Cooperative is a pseudostate that can't decide whether it's a corporation or a nation and fails to be either. The Cooperative, as a whole, is somehow less than the sum of its disunited parts. The unashamedly corporatist Foundation will vote for anything contrary to human dignity for the mere hope of an extra kopek, and the absurdly militarized and fascist Domuia bleeds the entire Cooperative dry to feed its weapons fetish. Kuiato, the forgotten stepchild, has long been cast out into the cold wastes of the asteroid belt. The brave descendants of the dissidents who opposed the heartless conversion to robotism and the unnatural rebirth promised by the Cooperative, they have been punished for centuries by chronic underdevelopment, shackled to a raw resource economy. Kuiato, the most downtrodden, colonially oppressed nation of any in the known universe, yearns for freedom. Hearing the plea of their erstwhile compatriots, the Union Government of Sybus, the Venusian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic will stop at nothing to liberate this people."

Of course they did, you greedy thug. The Empire is a despotic state with whom no one of good conscience should ever associate. It's a false pretender realm that stands for reactionary and anti-worker principles. It degrades human dignity. It opposes all that is right and just, valuing privilege and hierarchy over equality and freedom. Your cooperation with the inbreds is another black mark on an increasingly spotty page. The Mattibeans, as good socialist comrades, if wrong on nearly every specific aspect of socialist doctrine, are justly angered by this provocation against all the workers of the world. And the Mobians, as thugs no less greedy than you, will take any opportunity to add another fancy title to their aluminum-foil crown.

Mattibean only a generation ago launched a massive and unprovoked attack against our people.”

It's a clear mark of the class differences in the Cooperative, you reactionary pool of worker's tears, that you see the differences between the backbreaking labor of Kuiatans and your theft of their surplus value as nothing more than a matter of glamour. They survive in more hostile conditions with a quarter of your average income. They've been denied the opportunity to develop more advanced economic status due to their subjugation. They're an enslaved, colonial people, and the only reason you need to send more troops is to ensure they don't rise up against you when they see freedom - in the form of a hundred battleships - screaming towards them at a fraction of the speed of light.

"Why wouldn’t Mattopia join these revolutionaries?” Diana leaving the hanger as the Mecha Teams and Droids around her rumble to life, “We are dying species of a dying era.”

Would be in character for them, they won't do a full-frontal attack, just one when their enemy is already distracted.

“We believe in something is only worth this merit. A person value not with titles or connections, but by strength of character and bodies."

You have an emperor, your corps is notoriously ridden with family dynasties, and you associate nearly solely with monarchies that value titles and connections more than anything else. Strength of character doesn't matter if you're poor and can't buy stock to have even the measliest little say in your future and that of your country.

To this we banned political parties, as methods of passing money and more from one generation to another.

I'm not an uneducated buffoon, you uneducated buffoon. We can clearly see it's to prevent the formation of any alternate poles of power that advocate for a constructive, progressive plan for the country, rather than the blatant theft from the public coffers that is the characteristic of your parasitic ruling class. By limiting the freedom of association by banning parties, you vastly reduce the ability for individuals to meaningfully interact with politics, tightening your hold on power, you corporate-autocrat.

"And then through trials and hardship, they find their own path.”
I mean that path is grueling labor, a struggle to survive, and swift death.

We care about the worker, correct. But we don't assign value to workers. All sentient beings have value due to their very existence as sentient beings, divorced from the amount of money they earn, their occupation, their wealth, or any other trapping of success in a capitalist society. The Prime Minister is no more than the garbage collector, the lawyer and farmer are equal. But in the cooperative, there is a notion that working hard and earning more than your fellow man makes you superior, when hard work has never paid off like the capitalists say. Only under socialism do people earn what they deserve - the full value of their labor, guaranteed by law. While in the Cooperative, upward mobility comes only in the military, in the VSFSR, anyone can advance regardless of the circumstances they were born into, serving their fellow man all the way.

Diana continues “And to everyone who is evesdropping and those Kuiato, knew this fact. The Cooperative values each and everyone of you. And when you meet Venus, know our finest have come to defend you. We will not lose.”

The oppressors will be ground to dust by the revolution. Kuiatans, hear us: we are coming to liberate you. To give you a nation of your own, a nation where you will earn more, where you will be equal, where you will have a good and prosperous life. Rise up, drive out your oppressors as we come, so that we may meet all the sooner in the bonds of fraternal socialialist brotherhood.

Take note I have West Africa in a time freeze.

June 16th, 4693

Today, the Worker’s Republic of Terra was devastated by the first assassination of a West African head of state in over two centuries. After exiting a meeting in the Economic Guidance Directorate Center, Secretary General Daniel Wairimu was fatally shot by a sniper that had managed to infiltrate a building across the central plaza.

After quickly pulling the doomed Secretary General out of further harm’s way, the security detail entered the building housing the assassin and were able to quickly apprehend the suspect, a middle aged man dressed as a utilities worker.

With news of the assassination now reaching the nation and the rest of Terra, questions now arise about who is responsible for this treacherous act.

The terrorist attack on Mars has caused a shake-up within the union - namely, the Martian Communes. The Red Planet has long been the source of the most fervent and militant groups of the Red Alliance - as well as historically being its origin. In past years, they've trended towards a fairly even mixture of anarchism, syndicalism, and some revolutionary socialism.

But with the current state of events - massive death tolls, wars, capitalist powers trying to unite against the proletariat of other nations (notably, Cyon's flirting with the ur-capitalists and the nascent fascism of its military, and its staunch opposition to the freedom of people around the universe) - there has been a large swing on the Red Planet.

Revolutionary socialists have been zealous in their identification of the problem - capitalism, monarchies, fascism, regressive powers. The oppression of the working class around the world, around Earth, around the solar system, galaxy, universe - that is the breeding ground for problems.

Jose Mazur, a rising speaker of one of these groups, has stated in multiple speeches - "The Union has long been accused of destabilizing nations, of seeking to violently spread socialism, communism. You can see it in the words of Cyon, which cloaks itself in the language of freedom, while pursuing tyranny and slavery. Their relentless accusations, even as they ally with despotic powers, interfere openly, and know that the Union has long maintained neutrality in such affairs.

And look where that has gotten us, gotten the universe? Destabilized, oppression, tyranny. Cyon's statements about the Union have been wrong. And that is the problem."

More and more on Mars are agreeing with that thought, rocked with the aftermath of the impact. And from the radical heart of the Union, those sentiments seem to be spreading across networks of activists Union wide.

We of the Imperium express our deepest condolences for the recent passing of the West African President. Such an attack is both brutal and senseless. If there is anything our government can do to help relieve the pain of his passing, please: let us know. We are now than willing to support you through these trying times.

Trouble in the boardroom at the PCG.

Rumblings of discontent in the Chambers of the governing body, seem to indicate that there is division among the board on whether to engage in diplomatic peacemaking, as has traditionally been the stance of the Corporation, or to abstain from all involvement in the so-called Belt-War.

While no-one expected the Corporation to support an escalation of events that have already seen Mars (and now Pluto) ravaged, few anticipated that the Corporation would not so much as hold out an olive branch, and the decision appears to have split the board in two.

It is believed President Careca and Managing Director Halloran, have clashed repeatedly over President Careca’s apparent apathy about anything more than simple neutrality, with the Managing Director arguing that the Corporation has an historical duty to act as potential peace-brokers.

Though most of the Martian directors appear to be in agreement with the Managing Director, the President does have a few key supporters and is aided by support from the board of Terra. With the possibility that the vote could be tied, the Honoured Council, Grand Master Silenus Echo, could be called on cast the deciding vote, marking the first time this century that an Honoured Council would be required to have the final say.

Neither has the Irony of a mute having the final word on the matter, been lost on the satirists at the Galactic Voice, who have been heavily criticised for their recent take on current issues by other media outlets, including it would appear, their own parent company, Frasta Entertainment Group.

The Federal Soviet of the VSFSR is debating whether funds should be raised to recoup the trillions of CCs lost in the Belt War prior to the cowardly Mobian intervention.

The peace-loving people of the VSFSR are swayed by the anti-fleet arguments of "we're just going to lose when every power in the known galaxy declares war on us" and "apparently having a fleet means a 4v1 is completely ok if we have a fleet." They argue, that if the VSFSR has a small fleet, no one will fight them.

The pro-fleet lobby has the line "They just hate Venus and they'll invade us without a fleet or with a fleet, doesn't matter, might as well take a few down with us," but the Venusian people, facing an entrenched 4v1 in any future conflicts, don't see the point of shelling out for a fleet that's just an excuse for a dogpile.
