And what real life waterway would that be modeled after? Aren't we trying to keep this relatively true to the actual globe? Or are we going to continue changing the map to help California get to the Eastern Seaboard?!

P.S. I vote no, just in case it wasn't obvious

I would sya if it were to exist it would have to take at least 2 moves for it to work. Having it take as long as the panama canal takes to go through when in reality its around 3 or 4 times the distance does not seem right.

Um, unless I misread the rules, all waterways are two-way streets. This would just as likely open passage for Southeast's stronger navy to sail for the Pacific...

California, of course, casts 9 votes "Yes"

Indeed General Aardvark, you are correct. If i may put on my cape and be Captain Obvious for the moment, the Southeast also doesn't control half the map. :geek:

Oh, really?

Try counting --

Southeast controls 9 supply centers and 15 territories.

California controls 9 supply centers and 16 territories.

Surely you haven't fallen for the simplistic view that bigger territories are somhow worth more? If so, I will happily swap you Montana, Dakota and Wyoming for Miami and the Keys!

More importantly, Southeast managed to cross the Mississippi in force. Since the supply centers are almost precisely divided east ans west of the Mississippi, it is nearly impossible to solo without making that crossing.

Look's like that Superhero cape just might fit you well!

Damn you Admiral Accurate!!! My arch enemy strikes again with facts and numbers, foiled again. So much for raising a fervor based on nothing more than a much larger area of yellow then blue. :(

I would much prefer to keep Miami and the Keys. I don't like the cold much, but thanks for the offer.
