Australian Face to Face Players

Postby TheXython » 11 Oct 2012, 10:34

I don't know how many Aussies use this site, nor how many are interested in playing Face to Face Diplomacy, but I know there is at least one (me).
I am looking to maybe set up a small community of Australian diplomacy players so that we could organise a weekend ever half a year or more to get together and have mini-tournaments. If anyone in Aus is interested in any face to face reply to this thread. I am based in NSW, but I would be happy to travel a little to meet up should we get this off the ground.

Get in contact with the DAANZ (Diplomacy association of Australia and New Zealand).

website: http://www.daanz.org/index.php

There is also a mailing list that you can find through the website (click on the Email/Zines section).

Unfortunately there hasn't been much activity over the past 12 months or so, a kick in the pants to get them going again would be great.

I've recently moved to Sydney and am interested in playing FtF locally. Anyone else who is interested please contact me.

I am a Sydney-sider too and would like to revisit FTF (it's been twenty years). Throw some dates/locations at me and I will see if I can make it. Probably best to avoid April 17th and the surrounds as I am expecting my first child then.

Congratulations!
Well, this would probably take a while to set up. There are people to contact, people to find, dates to sort etc. if this is to go ahead. I'm really busy with schoolwork, so this would have to be over the space of one Saturday or Sunday, probably during March, though nothing is certain.

Blackfish,

I am struggling to get my response to your PM to leave of my outbox. In short it says I am in Cremorne and thanks for your efforts in getting things off the ground. Any tips on how I deliver the message would be awesome too.

Strange. I got the message, I just didn't have anything to reply yet. It's weird that it hasn't left your outbox and gone into Sent Messages...
