Fall 1909 and farewell to bluestreaksoccer : No builds

Postby Pedros » 07 Nov 2012, 11:18

Germany's long oddyssey around the Baltic finally comes to an end as it's left without an SC to retreat to. You clung on well for several years bss - well done.

These black holes produce some complicated multiple pile-ups, and this time there are two, around Tyrrhenian Sea and (separately) around Venice. I'm not posting the Black Hole until players have had a chance to check the adjudication - I'm thinking of leaving about 8 hours for that. The deadline will be posted then.

Apart from Germany, France also suffered a setback in Tuscany, and that army was left without a retreat so is destroyed.

The fact that the black hole might complicate the situation around Ven and TYS sounds like bad news for me....

You misunderstand! It was the orders there which were complicated. I don't know yet where the black hole will be - needs to be redrawn because Germany's exit means Munich is back in the mix.

Fall 1909: Black Hole

France's cry to the gods of chance is heard, and the axe falls on Trieste. Italy loses a centre and an army. The modified map is now in the opening post, and the victory target is reduced to 15.

Only one build this time, for Russia. Build please by 1800 GMT (1300 EST) on Thursday 8 November

Winter 1909: No builds

No orders from Russia, so the map remains unchanged from the top post.

Orders for Spring 1910 are due by 2030 GMT (1530 EST) on Sunday 11 November

Do lack of build orders count towards NMRs?

No. I take the view that if you miss a retreat or build that's punishment enough! And with builds at least, they may be deliberate.
