OK Thank you, so the 1 non ranked abandoned I picked up and completed does not count toward stats due to the non ranked, while the 2 completed ranked (1 abandoned and 1 start) do.

If one wants to protect their stats they should not pick up the really poor position abandoned ones, even though they don't bother the rating due to the shield. While picking them up clouds the picture of anyone trying to pre-judge your abilities by looking at them. (I actually have a 100% draw rate if you only count games I started. :) ) Of course that is a fairly easy accomplishment given the sample size.

Correct. Your rating is determined by only ranked games.

All Rank and No Rank count as far as the Classicist levels go though.

Kinda depends on what one is calling "stats." Whether it's just rating (All Games, Standard, etc.) you're looking at. Or whether all ranked/no-rank games as far as solo percentage/draw percentage.

And yeah, if it's a horrible position, might not survive. But, not always. Nothing to lose by picking it up shield as far as rating goes.

Would any premium member be so kind as to check my stats to see where I am at?
Thank you very much.

I see 12 finished games with a 99.64% consistency rate. Are there any other numbers you want off that page?

Are any more Classicist games happening? Seems like this group has been very inactive lately.

It has been inactive of late, another.

But we're definitely still around. Personally, I've got a good bit going on with the PDL2020 and the SuperPastis2020 year-long events. Doing a bit of mentoring now also. But not having seen a Classicist game start in a good while has been a concern for me too.

Do I understand correctly that in order to participate in the leagues, I would have to commit to 4 games a year?

Hey another,

The PlayDiplomacyLeague2020 is more of an informal tourney (as is the SuperPastis thing too). Neither of these events requires Classicist membership.
It is true that in the PDL2020, each player will play four games per season. Info on PDL2020 here.

The rules for being admitted talk about "unjustified surrenders". What kind of surrender is "justified"?

Asking because, in the very first game I joined, where most of the players knew each other but I joined from a forum post and knew noone else participating, I am one of the three powers remaining, in decline as the other two allied against me. Of the other two, one is stronger and could easily gain a solo win next turn, but instead it seems they are trying to engineer a 17-17 two way draw (with the stronger power feeding centres at the other end of the map to the weaker one), which of course will take several extra turns, especially as I am not going to cooperate. I am completely fed up with their behaviour and would happily surrender so that they click through without my participation, but don't want this game to work against my memvership here (as I joined exactly to look for games where such things do not happen).

Why shouldn't "such things" not happen? A 17-17 is most difficult to achieve, often more difficult than a solo. And you are still with plenty of options, especially if you manage to tip the scales. Your task is to build up temptation for one or better even for both of them. Maybe you can force them to include you in the draw this way (or bribe them with something else  ). I know it's difficult, very difficult even. But - as my uncle said - it's good that it is difficult, otherwise everybody could do it.
