I could play either format, four games or seven per season. My gut says four though because of the overlap issue. And that might mean, at least for me, playing pretty much only PDL games if we go with the seven-game format (for sanity preservation reasons, considering what little sanity I have left)!

Shyvve, that sanity boat left a long, long time ago. And so sorry to say, you weren't on it!

I think it should go continuosly. No end in sight. OK, say 10 months, then 2 month break, and start again.

PDL 1 (all the info you need can be found in the forum), was for 4 matches per season, starting Jan, Mar, May and July. Maybe a few weeks leeway. That gives people time off and admin to be done before the next season starts. Maybe a playoff game etc between the top 7 of league 1. You get the idea.

To be honest this and my previous thread havent had many replies, so maybe the interest is dying out, and maybe PDL 2 isn't going to happen.

Don’t be so negative Mike. We’ve got six months for sign ups.

Woolgie’s right. The recruitment drive hasn’t even started. We can spam the world, until we have at least 21 & those that miss the bandwagon can wait til the next year!
Your 4 game format as described above was excellent & if we can control the quitters PDL2 will be a huge success. I hope in time membership of PDL League 1 for the coming season will be viewed as something valuable enough to prevent the BS rage quitting we saw last year. It provides top quality games against top quality players. The games were splendidly intense & some got a bit too excited when the surrender button was at hand. Let’s hope we do better in 2020,

Best Regards V

Give 'em 2 weeks to sign up, starting now......

Game one kicks off 7 July.

Thats the problem. Games take too long, too far apart, so everyone loses interest. 48/24/24, games start every 6 weeks, churn n burn.

By the time it starts in January everyone will have forgotten about it.

Need help? Gimme a job, I'll do it.

And like I said before, look to the Classicistististissss.........plenty of players there, supposedly reliable, and like to play so they say. Make it a "Classicistististissssss only tourney. "King of the Classicistsistsistsisssss".

And if they surrender, auto ban from the club.
