Where are we anyway..?

1.1 Turkey and Germany not really enjoying themselves. Will England be next, or does France need them?

1.2 They weren't in a hurry to get started, but Italy is in a hurry to get out again.

1.3 1 down, and a couple of more soon to follow. Shall we bet on F/E to take this one home?

2.1

2.2 Maybe, just maybe, E/F can save this one still. The fate of Germany decides, I guess.

2.3 Doesn't look like F/G have sorted out their relationship properly yet.

3.1 What. The. Hell.

3.2 France and Italy in trouble.

3.3 Turkey and France competing over who will leave first. Russia seems next. E/G strong, but there are threats of kingmaking. Will we have drama on the board (unlike 3.3.1, where there's just drama in the line-up...)?

He’d enjoy that way too much.

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished.

Quick thoughts...

1.3.1 Turkey's toast, Germany's toast, France is being noncommittal, England and Russia are the two biggest powers and are fighting each other... kind of an odd state overall imo

1.3.2 Ai are both in big trouble is i think the main story

1.3.3 Extremely successful western triple on the board. Only real question is whether it holds up or whether there's a stab at some point.

2.3.1 Obligatory no comment

2.3.2 Another game with a successful A/T. I think there's been one every round?

2.3.3 Looks like F/G had a falling out after England's death. Will be interesting to see how that develops...

3.3.1 Juggernaut? Or "kill Austria then turn on each other"? Time will tell...
Relatively unsettled northern situation as well, though 1904 is still somewhat early...

3.3.2 End of 1903 and no one's dead yet, though I'd agree F/I are both in some real danger, and Russia's not doing so hot either.

3.3.3 E/G seem increasingly strong, probably the question is whether/how Austria fits into that. Italy is in trouble long term I think...

From the current map, I don’t see E/Fs incentive not to stab G.

It's possible that post was written before the Spring 04 moves came out. I was looking at the board after the 03 builds and basically was calculating how G should be stabbed. England did not do anything like what I would have done if I were going to stab, but France did. So I think the fall moves are very much up in the air.

France pulled away from Italy, too. So somethings up, at least..
England seems a little apprehensive. Perhaps he just decided to focus on his eastern front first. Germanys home centres are pretty defenseless by now. But next turn will we interesting, yeah.

Well, Austria will have a hard time competing with all those English fleets.

2.3.1 is over with the standardish FIR draw outcome. AAR is up as well and I'll say things after game finishes processing instead of just saying "it's over we just need time to finalize it all"
