In case anyone else doesn't check their site all that often, fivethirtyeight.com have done a cool article on "lessons we could apply from international relations to our love lives":

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/8- ... relations/

No doubt these are also useful in Diplomacy ;)

Nate Silver is a tool who whores his methodology out for money and liberal plaudits.

No. Seriously. I know the man personally. He’s pathetic.
When playing at war, always remember the origins of war:
1) I raid your cave to steal food and kidnap your women.
2) You raid my cave to steal food and kidnap my women.
3) Someone's kid gets hurt.
4) It all goes downhill from there

Someone didn't get a valentine yesterday... ;)

But yeah, I get he is populist and small-l liberal (whilst being more republican, imo). But as an entertainment site, 538 ain't so bad. Punditry-wise it's not been hot on much recently (politics or sports amongst them).

That's cool. Not relevant to the purpose of the original post, though.

Worth remembering we're all here because we think we communicate more effectively than others :D

I was reading it thinking there must be a ton of couples out there who fail to communicate a lot of the time about really big and important stuff...
