When he performed this on SNL the Saturday before last, his eyes were solid black (because of contacts, I guess).
That weirded me out for the first minute or so, then I got over it; sort of interesting.
They sounded great on this song performing live.

For about the last 4 years my ringtone has rotated around between a handful of little segments/excerpts from this....

For about that same amount of time, this has been my text message alert.

I don't get tired of either.

Song: Ticks and Leeches

Artist: Tool

As a drummer, I can't get enough of this. Pretty decent song on its own too. Couldn't get the video player thingy to work.

I had just added Random Access Memories to my phone this spring.
Was out for a ride on the back roads of PA when this song came on (the phone was jacked in to the stereo on the bike).
I scraped metal on both foot boards on at least three occasions (completely under control) because I got into the beat and started hanging on the throttle.
Truly a memorable ride.

Thanks. I haven't liked Tool for a long time, but I've gotten very into them over the past few months. Getting a new double bass drum pedal for my kit. Hopefully I can start learning some Danny Carey licks with that. Not cocky enough to think I can get a full song.

I'll add Perfect Circle to my queue of music to listen to, which is too long already.

Another (imo) great drum track. You've probably heard it before, but when I feel the specific urge for some drums, this always comes up eventually.

Right, well, there's really about a dozen or so songs by Zappa alone I could post here, but I'll go with this one since it's probably the least vulgar/absurd:

Not a Zappa original, but great nonetheless :)
