Classicists League 2015 - 2016

Postby Buachaille » 05 May 2015, 23:02

The Classicists League is a bit of good, clean (ish) fun designed to encourage Classicist games and show off the standard of play we're all capable of. Officially this year's League has already started with it running from May 1st 2015, 00:01hrs- April 30th 2016, 24:00hrs. It's the end date that counts. Last year's League included 106 players playing in 27 separate games. Let's see if we can beat that this year.

Rules are: The games must be full Classicist but both Strict and Aspiring games count. Rank and unranked games count but friends and school games do not.

Here's the games that have finished already:

What constitutes a Classicist League game? Does it have to be expressly note as a Classicist League game when created or does any Classicist game set up and played during this time (friend and school games excluded) count toward this?

Good question Exiled. Any fully Classicist game (ranked or non ranked) within the allotted time frame. It doesn't have to denoted in advance, I just need to find out about it and I'll include it. PMs help but I do quite a lot of trying to keep track of the games as they start up. Did you have a game in mind?

The goal here is inclusion in order to encourage as many games to get started, show off the standard of play and further the Classicist cause.

Exiled is possibly referring to 101131, a classicist game we are currently in. Although I am Italy, so please don't include this towards any league table ;)

Ooh, I'm all at sixes and sevens. I had it on my watched list but hadn't added it in to the post yet.

Thanks Risky, I definitely won't add it in because you're in it ;)

That's the one I had in mind.

But, yeah, Risky's gonna lose so let's not count this one against him.

Not technically a tournament. More of a record of all Classicist games for the year (May to April).

If you look at last years table, you can see the points assigned to each outcome at the top of the chart.

Well, any game where I am Italy and get humped out early counts as no points all round, I'm sure I heard that somewhere. Right guys? Guys...?
