Winter 1802 Builds

Postby Aeschines » 18 Aug 2009, 08:42

Failure.... Ultimate failure....

ALL RETREATING UNITS ARE DISBANDED (EXCEPT FOR HANOVER, WHICH RETREATS TO SKA!)

My sister lost my flash drive with all my files on it, so (that's why i'm late posting this, and why i haven't updated the map...)

Look at the old map, but make these changes:

1. Fleet in Hanover is in Ska
2. Prussian units in Warsaw and Kon are deleted
3. Austrian unit in Tyrolia is deleted.

Winter 1802 Builds are due on Thursday at 11:59! EDIT: NO!

Does this work for everyone? (i'll get the map up asap!)

i can get my builds untill that deadline, but Bids are taking longer.
bids should be even longer then a regular phase.

Here's a handy build guide for whoever needs it:
France: 2 builds :D
England: 3 builds
Russia: 2 builds :D
Austria: 0 builds :|
Prussia: 0 builds :|
Spain: 0 builds :|
Turkey: 0 builds :|
Wurzemburg: 1 build :)
Hannover: 1 destroy :x
Sweden: 0 builds :|
Denmark: 0 builds :|
Portugal: DEAD
Bavaria: DEAD

Done in the style of lordelindel, with half the calories!
-If it looks like there might be a mistake in this remember that Turkey doesn't actually own Syria and England always gets one more unit than it has SCs.

You're welcome! I would've done a handy bid points guide too, but I think I would've botched it.

Anyways, I think I'm with Deanchuk on this one, I'm not sure if we should do builds and retreats on the same phase. Since they don't happen simultaneously it might bring up some issues. For example, let's say England decides to destroy Hannover's unit in the Palatinate during the build phase, however, let's also say that Russia puts all her IP into bidding for Hannover, for some secret plan to control the Palatinate. Now Russia has spent all her IP trying to get palatinate, only to get a fleet in the skaggerack which can't do anything. The problem is that we don't really know what we're bidding for (This turn I think it'll be fine to do them both at the same time since Hannover and Wurzemburg are the only ones that can change, but if you're going to combine two phases in the future you should probably do builds and retreats together.)

As for time constraints, I don't see why bids need more time then moves. Heck, I could get probably get builds, bids, AND moves in by Thursday!
