I am also contemplating making the ages of leaders important (the older the more likely of dying) I wont go mad with this, and will try to keep it historical, however deaths were a major thing in RL for big countries.

1. The map idea is likely unworkable. I can find my way around paint.net, but I don't know who else can. Leaving it up the GM is much fairer, although it's a lot of work.

2. The game doesn't last long - I don't know if we've had any break five years. Our leaders don't age much, and it doesn't really make sense to introduce something like that. If treated historically, maybe one character will die all game. In reality, it'll be hard to resist the temptation to kill people off, and it'll lead to some unnecessary complications.

If everyone can that would be useful no? and as I say it gives the opportunity, that doesn't mean they have to make a map...
