Not everyone is aware that the PlayDip ratings that you can look up and admire with a premium membership only shows those players that have been active for the past 3 months. After that a player's stats can still be queried by name and her ranking appears as if she were still on the active player list, but the player is no longer shown in the rolls of the top players.
Now many of those players are legends of this site, achieving hundreds of solos (collectively), winning famous tournaments and leaving us spellbinding AARs, but unless you played them way back when, their accolades are lost in the bowels of the archived games. I propose to remedy that somewhat and maintain a list of the top ghosts of PlayDip yesteryear. So far I have come up with 72 players that faded into ghost status with standard ratings of 1500 or more, including 9 with ratings above 2000. Considering there are currently only 51 active players above the 1500 threshold and just 5 above 2000 and considering I'm sure my research is just the tip of the iceberg, I'd say the ghosts represent a pretty important subset of PlayDip lore. Please feel free to add names that I've missed or let me know when ghosts have returned to the ranks of the living.
Ghosts with Std Rating of at least 1500 with rating, followed by games played: solos, draws (losses):
