American Diplomacy Signups!

Postby The Sea People » 12 Apr 2009, 00:23

So I finished up the map, I hope it's suitable, and I am ready to begin sign ups!

The map is modern America; Canada and Mexico are impassible.

Supply centers are as follows:
Tri-State
A New Jersey
F NYC
A Pennsylvania

Midwest
F Michigan
A Ohio
A Indiana

Southeast
A Tennessee
A Georgia
F Florida

Texas
F Texas
A Dallas
A Houston

Hearlands
F Missouri (on the Mississippi River)
A Nebraska
A Oklahoma

Northwest
F Washington
A Oregon
A Idaho

California
A Northern California
F California
A Los Angles

Neutrals:
Miami
Massachusetts
Conneticut
Virginia
North Carolina
Minnesota
Illinois
Wisconsin
Louisiana
Colorado
Arizona
Nevada

RULES
Standered Diplomacy rules apply, except where noted.

States with multiple Coasts:
Los Angeles
Colorado
Florida
Minnesota
Ohio
Illinios
Indiana
Pennsylvania
Wisonsin (3 coasts)

Rivers
There are 5 River territories:
Colorado River (bordering: Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Los Angles, and the Gulf or California)
Rio Grande (Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Houston, Gulf of Mexico)
Ohio River (Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, both the Northern and Southern Mississippi River)
Northern Mississippi River (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, The Southern Mississippi River, The Ohio River)
Southern Mississippi River (Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Northern Mississippi River, Ohio River)
Rivers basically act as sea spaces, you can move from the river to the ocean, you can convoy as normal.

The Rio Grande and the Colorado River both border the state Colorado. They are not connected. You cannot have F Rio-Col (state) in the spring and Col (state)-Col (river) in the fall.

Expanded waterways
Every winter, a player may nominate a waterway being built or expanded. Then there will be a democratic vote. Each player gets a vote per center that they own at the time. If there are 17 votes for the waterway, it will pass. Only one nomination is allowed per winter, if there are multiple, the first will be voted upon, the next will wait until the next winter.

Four Corner states:
You CAN move across on a diagonal. Utah-New Mexico and Arizona-Colorado are acceptable.
Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico are cut by rivers. An army in any of those states occupies both sides of the river. This means that an army in Nevada can move to Arizona in the spring, and then to New Mexico in the fall. They basically act as Constantinople, except the rivers can be treated as water spaces.

There are 33 Centers, which means 17 to win

If there are questions, ask them!

By the way Sea People, nice UP (Upper Peninsula of Michigan). I love it when people get the UP mostly right on maps; you would not believe some of the Upper Peninsulas I have seen..

Thank you, I remember how on the previous thread I "butchered" it, so I put care into it this time.

Very important change!
American will start WINTER of 2000. Please disregard the forces on the map, the first season will be spent creating your own.
