And I never did answer the disrupting convoy question. Diadem is right - since the Wing can't dislodge the fleet by attacking it, it can't disrupt the convoy. It can of course support another fleet attacking to help it dislodge the convoying fleet.

I've been asked during the game whether an attack by a Wing, not meeting anything else in the target square, blocks that space for a retreat. I don't believe that this was ever raised before.

My view, and the rule I intend to implement during the Modern game, is that a retreat essentially happens with strength zero and is blocked by other units attempting to be in the area during that season. Because of that, the Wing attack prevents a retreat to that space. I'm adding this to the Wing rules for the game.
