Patrick of Boise was a simple nobleman. He spend most of his time praying or growing potatoes in the kingdom. He'd been made master of Laws in the Kingdom, which he did well at. Morality for him was on a spectrum, and people high or lowborn deserved a fair trial. When the King sent him to attend the conference in Hong Kong, he did not expect to be placed in a room with arguing space aliens commies and immortal emperor robots. These thousand year feuds was to much for him to understand, with the kingdom only recently having any concern for the outside world. While the city of Hong Kong was beautiful, and the robot Rusty was really friendly, Patrick felt the tension in the conference. Conflict was brewing and Patrick knew he wanted Deseret to have no part of it. Deseret already had enough to deal with as the great expansion had run into trouble near the grand canyon. Deseret isn't nearly powerful enough yet to go toe-to toe with these nations. He wondered how his grand daughter August was going on mars, and how she learned to get along with all of these foreigners and their strange ideas. This nation in particular, followed an ideology of socialism. Patrick was a loyalist and a monarchist to the core, and while some of their tenets would be helpful for the lowborn, he felt that it went against the natural order of society. Patrick looked at the bar outside the conference room. He was already in his 60's, and had never tried the beverages because of its legality in Deseret. Well, times were changing, and maybe he should try something new. He wasn't going to live forever after all.

One of the Cooperative Agents, a member of the Ranger Force noted his countries nominal allies sudden appearance. And the arrival of these rioters is only gonna disrupt the proceeding. He bows to Zhou whose unscripted speech did not endear the conference to these rivals. She was trying to do damage control but clearly didn’t want to be here.

“Ranger Zeus on the Deploy.” He typed into his comm before messaging a note to the local Cooperative activists in Lantau. Whom already gathered, and prepared to defend there country. His job was to make sure any confrontation between these two groups stayed peaceful. His squad, Lighting; himself and another named Saturn mission perimeters were clear. Disengaging from the already apparent failed summit. They moved themselves to monitor the situation.

——————
Lao Cronus, one of the many immigrants of from Cooperative to Hong Kong was a proud Terrestial, the most common ethnic immigrant to the Hong Kong. Terrestials being a mix of man and machine, are known within the Cooperative proud independence streak, and has once again been called Domuian. He was unlike the Domuian’s whom he lives with has no taste for martial fancy but prefers the competition of space racing to build a better race. His cyber body is repeatedly deningrated and more than once when he came to a body shop for repairs was rebuffed. Or more accurately he was ignored several times over other customers and made to wait and initially attempted to be priced gouged. While his roommates mentioned because he went to the docks. Still it was infuriating.

Unlike some of his fellow Cooperative, he still goes out of Lantau even through a few months back his friend, and also a Syberman was beaten and sprayed painted as capitolist cogs. All while the Mattibean Goverment only offered “thoughts and prayers for this exceptional event.” But while Zhou remarks were...questionable at best. The Cooperative here is trying to show it turned over a new leaf. And now, these protestors come to assault them. Forgetting they were ones who attacked first.

“Let’s go!”

The a large group of Cooperative Syberman and Humans all gather to meet them in memorial plaza. And many carrying signs of dead Atlantian Island Citizens killed in the Communist invasion and lives lost in Belt War to Venus invasion.

Artie shrugged. The missile was either unintelligent or didn't understand international binary. Either way, it wasn't really his problem. He rather liked the little thing, and part of him wished it were, in fact, intelligent. There were plenty of intelligent AIs in Ceona, if course, but he rarely actually ran into any of them. For a diplomat, his life was strangely insular.

Strange. He thought. It seems the missile had business with the Venusian. Artie payed it no mind. This meeting had been a total disaster, and as much as Artie wished he hadn't had to be the barer of such bad news, he knew it was his job. Well, he only had to stay here long enough until the conference ended, and he couldn't use most of the amenities, so he simply leaned back in his chair, wrote a program in guys head, and began playing a nice game of Go with himself. If anyone needed him, he'd be ready.

(To note on Cons' most recent post, discussed it briefly. Domuians in Hong Kong would be subject to discrimination in some areas, but nothing too overt at this point - maybe pointed looks, rude comments, being ignored, etc. Maybe a very few getting into a more physical altercation, etc. But at this point those are more passive and rare - a lot of what's happening in the protests are more spur of the moment/started with this conference and the comments made)

(Follow up note most of the Cooperativians in Hong Kong are Terrestials (Atlantian) not Domuian. For reference, and related to why some of my people are further aggravated).

Still chuckling on the inside after the curious incident with the missile, Artie froze. He couldn't believe his long-range communication receptors. After regaining his composure, he strolled over to the Venusian. "Wish me luck, friend. I just got a really interesting set of orders." He walked up to one of the hosts and whispered in their ear. The host went pale and nodded before running off to make the necessary arrangements.

For the second time this conference, Artie had a big announcement to make. He straightened his posture and walked to the podium. After a few quick words with the speaker, the speaker stepped aside. "Dearest countries of the world. I have just now received terrible news. The Immortal Emperor, in his wisdom, has just now issued a formal declaration of war against the Cooperative. In his words (and here the Emperor's voice came ringing through), "The Cooperative has ignored, spurned, betrayed, and insulted the Latin Empire for far too long. Their corrupt and thoroughly rotten burócratas think themselves the pinnacle of Empire and glory, when in truth they are rusted, hollowed, empty husks compared to their former nation. They think they can insult their allies and enemies alike without fear of retribution, and they leech the goodwill from their neighbors. I swear, in one year's time, they will know desolation! It is war."

At this, many members of the crowd began to nervously whisper amongst themselves. During the confusion, Artie began to make a hasty exit. On his way out the door, he passed the Venusian ambassador once more. He came up to them and said "I am sorry. I am bound to perfectly represent the Emperor; it does not mean I have to agree with him."

Artie went to his room to begin packing.

Patrick was not happy, With the Ceonian representatives deceleration of war, this meant terrible things for the kingdom. If the conflict spilled over with the immigrants or worse between the princes wives, it could plunge the country into dynastic conflict. Patrick had enough of this conference, he decided it was time to try out this bar thing so many of the representatives had apparently gone to before the start of the meeting.

Sometimes it's nice to be proven wrong. Shackleton came to this conference, anticipating nothing, but by the grace of the Gods, it has panned out better than the Federation ever dared hope. Domuia offended the Mattibeans and caused an uproar that will steel that most vital of allies for the inevitable conflict. They further managed to sow discord within their own board of directors, hopefully causing a shift in power to less aggressive factions.

But most importantly, their rampant lack of respect to their allies has shattered Cyborg at its core, and the former allies are now at war. Not much left to do but wait - the revolution is already underway in Ceona, and this war will assuredly push the state to its breaking point. Win or lose, the revolution will come shortly after in that nation. As for Domuia... there is little the Federation can do to help the oppressed of Earth, but a weakening of Domuian power on that planet will assuredly make the next war easier.

"The capitalists will sell us the rope with which to hang them," Shackleton murmurs, just within earshot of Artie as he leaves the hall. "Fear not, for liberation for all your kind is at hand."
