There's not a lot of free land around my area, though. Now that Brazil's a technical NPC...

But I'm not all that twisted, I've been looking at space colonies.

You're right. Space colonies don't usually help too much though - OOC, if Brazil is gone, 100% barrel into Brazil. Expand there. You could also jump over to the US too.

IC I'll oppose you but really can't do anything to stop you. Spread the revolution comrade!

The Corporation in Numbers:

Following the latest census within the Corporation, the figures show a continuing trend of slow-population growth, now standing at around 1.8bn people across both planets.

The increase is largely on Terra, where the last 50 years has seen a population rise of 35m (taking the total to almost 800m), while on Mars, growth is negligible (remaining at around the 1bn mark).

Across both planets, full citizenship* (age 21+) is said to be at around 67%, with the percentage being higher on Mars (75%) than it is Terra (59%), where there is still a small but vocal resistance from a Colombian independence movement, critical of being governed by an organisation that doesn't share an earth-centric view of politics.

* - aspiring citizenship, which still includes the right to vote, is available from age 18, or at any age below that, if employed by any subsidiary of the Corporation (children aged 13-17 can only be employed part-time, and only with the consent of the family units professional parent)

OOC:

I still want to leave the door open for anaupr to pick up with Colombia if he comes back, so that niggling pocket of activists calling for an independent Colombia hasn't fully disappeared yet, and could still be around for a while.

As for my overall population growth, I still plan to cap it at 2bn, but I'm looking at around 150-200 years to reach it (unless I win the Costa's, or incorporate Amazonia, in which case, I'll get there sooner, but still cap it).

I didn't think he would, but I didn't know for sure.

Still, a little unrest adds a bit more flavour to things, so I'll keep it (we can't have everything going too well now, can we?).

Okay. I need your approval, guys.

I went through population figures from Boboden's old page, did some adjustments accounting for demographic shifts and growth, and got the final figures for the population of the major countries at the end of the war. Just need the nod of the head from Subs and general approval and we can flaunt these nice numbers.

Brazilian Socialist Union- 141,682,270
Federal Republic of Brazil- 71,737,690
Empire of Brazil- 67,973,976
Amazonia(PCG Terra)- 20,051,120
Atlantic Imperium- 7,806,798
Free City of Manaus- 4,033,105

I'm fine with those numbers, but the Brazilian Socialist Union especially ought to be able to grow in population now that it's under your control and you get a bigger pop base to take the big guys on.

Yeah, I expect Brazils pop can grow pretty rapidly in the coming years. Amazon being 20 million looks about right to me too.

Between that and the two regions on Mars, I reckon that's about another 70-80 million added my own population total, which puts me just short of my cap by little more than 100m or so, which we'll probably take another century to hit.
