Two Truths and a Lie

Postby sobrien » 06 Sep 2010, 21:47

Hello, Forumlings!

I can't recall where I first encountered this game, but it is a fairly simple one.

If you want to participate, simply reply to this post by stating three things about you. Two of those items must be the truth and one of them will be a lie. It tends to work best when the three items are wildly different from each other--that is, other people will have trouble figuring out which two very different items must be true.

I shall start:

1. I am a head varsity football coach.
2. I served time in prison.
3. I was written up in the Los Angeles Times for singing opera in college.

Who's next?

Your 1st option is the false one! :D (Was I even supposed to try and guess...?)

1. I go to a school with 150 kids (kindergarten through 12th grade).
2. I have never been to USA.
3. I have been to Russia.

Gonna guess that sobrien's never been to prison, Valoriane has been to the US, Zebb has not failed out of university twice, and Lucifers_Hammer has not proven 1*2*3...*N=3^N because it is not true.
EDIT: And that Captain Twig has not killed a snake with a stone.

Actually, the equation is 1 * 2 * 3 * ... * N <= 3 ^ N for N finite, positive and a whole number which was what I worked on. However, 1*2*3* ... * N = 3^N for all N is not true. Let N = 3 which gives you 1 * 2 * 3 = 6 and 3 ^ 3 = 27.

DOI, you forgot to take into account the <= or less than or equal to sign.
