Pericles 7/7 - Reserves still welcome

The attachment Pericles.gif is no longer available

It is a 7 player game developed by "Minister X" set in ancient Greece and will be starting in Game year 400BC. I've modified my popular spearman and rowboat units just a little to make them more Greek.

The players are: Athens, Delphi, Elia, Messenia, Mycenae, Sparta, and Thebes

Map Peculiarities
-Any sea on the main map with a letter on it is connected to any sea on the inset map with the same letter on it, so for example a fleet can travel directly between Italus Sinus and Cypurissius Sinus or Italus Sinus and Zazynthus Sinus. However a fleet cannot sail directly between Mare Mediterranea and Thermas Sinus as these two seas are on the same map.
-There is a canal in Corinth similar to Kiel on a standard map.
-There are two bridges. One between Sicily and Rhegium and another between Abydus and Byzantium.
-Megara has north and south coasts while Epidaurus and Iria have east and west coasts.

Unless outlined above, assume that standard diplomacy rules apply, including building in your home centers only.

Victory is 50%+1 SCs, so that means 21 SCs.

Game Play
City-States will be assigned by blind auction, in other words once we have a full roster each player will send me their bids reflecting their preferences. Each player will have 140 points to bid with. 100 points is the max bid and 1 point the minimum bid. For bids with the same numbers of points, the order of city-states listed will determine preference. To keep the blind auction fair, no one is allowed to discuss city-state preferences until after the bids have been processed and results distributed.

Game play will be run on a 3/2/2 basis with double time for the opening season and an attempt at speed deadlines. If you don't want your orders processed right away, please mark them as Provisional. A first turn NMR or 2 total NMRs will result in the offending player being booted from the game and a replacement taking their place. I will send a pm at the beginning of each phase with a link to the map and if I don't need orders from everyone (retreats/builds), I will list who I need orders from. I will send out a 24hr reminder for each phase.

City-State assignments have been issued. All ties were determined by die rolls. You'll have double time for the first phase so that you can get your diplomacy going, so that's 144hrs and I'll need orders by 1800PST June 6th/0200GMT June 7th.

Reserves:
1. Phatality

Well then play, playing is always more fun than GMing.

On second thought, maybe i shouldn't sign up for a forum game ~3 weeks before i'm going abroad. I relinquish my spot!
