Make a vote fortress. Its better than a vote that has an obvious outcome like the present one.
Grex, watch it or I'll declare war on you too, then I'll get even more attention!!

Like we have three people that voted on the first one, then left, so their votes made Austria worse than real URA for a while.

Announcements:

If any of you spot someone around the forum that looks like they'd be a good HOTWer, lead them over here. If you run into someone who roleplays in Dip variants, or posts in war games about how they play similar games, just send them a PM and quietly steal them for HOTW.

I'll periodically, by which I mean whenever it gets more than halfway down the first page, bump our recruitment post, but if you guys spot anyone on this forum (or elsewhere I suppose), feel free to invite them.

Additionally, PLEASE SEND IN ORDERS. I know most of you operate under the "if I have nothing important to send, don't send in orders" principle, which I'm usually okay with. However, if every other turn or so, you could just tell me you're here via PM, posting something, or whatever, I'd appreciate it. Because I'm starting to feel like you're all leaving us...

I only got four orders for April (URA, France, UKPBA, Russia), and one of those was late (Russia). Speaking of which, 3 EST is 3 EST (as well as the appropriate conversions into other-people time). I'll accept it if orders haven't been processed yet, and I really don't care if you've been quietly investing in industry without bothering to tell me, but I am not spending a half hour making a battle map when you couldn't be bothered to write a 5 minute order set. And I really do prefer them on time.

Of course, if you have a real-life thing, tell me a few days beforehand, and I'll make sure I restructure deadlines to give you a chance to get them in.

If I leave something I'll tell the person who needs to know (not that my leaving will cause such a stir I think). I've explained why I didn't send in orders in the AHW thread of Egypt wars. I'll tell you if I leave and you can rely on me to answer pm's so if I don't send in orders its because I don't have any yet

You've made Denmark pretty successful, and we'd miss you if you left.

We all get busy sometimes, and sometimes, there just isn't a warning. I understand. But if you can, it's better to tell me beforehand, so I can make sure you have time to turn in orders.

I apologize for my inactivity. I'll try and get orders in, though there's not much to do
