I arrived in the ranks in 1909, it was kind of obvious that Russia was trying to help me. He helped me take Munich, which I was greatful for. I then built a fleet for the sole purpose of helping Russia in the naval battle of the North Sea. The bounce on Denmark was intentional so that France wouldn't get it. Through out the struggle thoughts of Stabbing Russia went through my head. But with the kindness of him and the others I was determined to help bring down France. At first I wasn't aware of the situation and offered France an alliance. I then turned on him and fed the allies info about troop movements. I hope my info was used to the best opprotunity. I had many interesting conversations with the allies, and I would love to play them. I will never forget Russia's devotion in giving up a solo to help us 2nd rate countries. France turned on me in the chat when I turned on him. I ubruptly cut him off with these words: #Germansolo1916. France sent no more messages. Even though I joined only a third of the way through, I still felt the duty to destroy France. I believe the Berlin-Rome-Moscow-Vienna-Ankara Axis was succesful. We planned to bring down France, and we did it. Hurrah for Russia! Huzzah for Austria! Long live Italy! Never give up Turkey! And down with France!
PS: I was unfortuneatly unable to build the Bismark, sorry Turkey
PPS: You can't say you totally lost England. You still held Yorkshire. :D

Hi brockenbrough,

Thanks for this! I was concerned a new Germany might forge against the prevailing alliance. Glad you didn't but I would also have added the dynamic almost certainly would have been me and Austria turning on you!

The solo was mostly off the table for me before you arrived, as without assuring turkey not stabbing me in the southeast I was strung out across the board and too vulnerable to acquire even 14 centers without triggering alarm bells.

Best result for the board: but, I don't anticipate many more 5way draws in my future! More 3way and solos, I hope.

Best,
Cardlinger

Thanks for the AARs, folks. It was fun reading them -- more fun than the game itself, in many ways.

I would gladly join another game with you. I don't consider that "meta-gaming" and don't believe that the mods do either. Everyone is free to invite players they like to join a game. But you can't agree to work with or ally with each other as part of that.

I did not take Brokenbrough (sp?) or Cardlinger's suggestion of having another game together as a proposal that we collaborate.

Hi Brockenbrough,

I'd definitely play with you again, no doubt. Was a pleasure getting you in albeit late. I'd be interested in how we'd get going from 1901 though!

Best,
Cardlinger

Count me in if you set this up. Ferdy0's concern is appropriate, but just joining a game with people you've played with before is not meta-gaming. Doing so for the purpose of working with, or against, them is.

I would be happy if Ferdy would join the game as well, with full knowledge that he may immediately be my enemy, he might be my ally and stab me, etc.

fair enough, I just like to steer clear of it as much as possible to make sure there is no doubt anyone can tell me off for it.
