French troops have crossed the border into Alsace-Lorraine. The Germans still retain control of the territory.

The German Emperor condemns the unprovoked invasion of french forces in German territory.
The province of Alsace Lorain belongs beyond doubt in german hands .

France,
I present you with an ultimatum. Should your forces still threaten the integrity of the german Empire by the end of this month, then not only will the mighty german army repell your puny attack, but they will also hunt you back to Paris and raze the city.

Ooc. Let the game begin

Well, seeing as you were unwilling to negotiate over its fate before, I thought that I should talk to you in a language you do understand, that of the sword. Nothing else that I know of that'll get the attention of you German pig-dogs. I faaaaaaaaart in your general dirrrrrection!

OOC: Agreed, and I shake you cordially by the hand.
I have special eyes.

German forces invade Luxembourg, occupying the country with little fighting.

The frogeaters emperors hubris knows no boundaries . Not only does he presume to "liberate " Alsace Lorraine from it's rightful owner, but he also cries revenge when no french province is affected at all . We shall teach them a lesson of humility . It will be taught so vicously , that no frenchmen will ever dare to look at a german oddly .

The only way to avoid such consequenses is the immediate withdrawal of french troops from all german provinces . Stand down and disarm your troops . Maybe i can find it in my heart to be merciful .

The French make several probing attacks to try and draw the Germans out, but the Germans aren't exactly interested in leaving their entrenched positions.

500 German dead, 2000 French dead.

The battle opens up with the heavier French cavalry charging the German center. The cavalry are beaten back with heavy casualties. Realizing that they are not going to be able to carry the position, they bring in the accompanying infantry, who also charge the center.

Although they suffer heavy casualties from crossfire from the more experienced German units, they manage to break the poorly-trained conscripts in the center, forcing the rest of the German army to retreat across the river to avoid being overwhelmed. France now occupies Alsace-Lorraine, and though they do not collect income from the province, Germany does not either.

But news from other area turns the rejoicing in the French army to trepidation: other German forces have cut off all hope of resupply in France, and if they do not manage to break out of the encirclement and establish a supply depot and reopen the supply lines to France, they will begin suffering attrition.

Casualties
German: 6000 conscripts, 6000 infantry
French: 500 cuirassiers, 500 dragoons, 12000 infantry
