The Madhi issues the following declarations:

To the soldiers serving under the Southern tribes: "Join me and you will not die this day, and you will be fighting for the Mahdi!"

Also a note to the civilians in the land: "No civilians are to be harmed, they will be welcomed into the new faction and will become civilians under a new leadership, a stronger leadership"

The troops of the Mahdi, under their green banner, move against the forces of the Southern Alliance, a group of Afghan tribesmen. Many of the Mahdi's infantry carry pikes, while all of the Southern infantry are armed with guns of various calibers and quality.

The battle begins with a cavalry charge against the Southern infantry, followed by an infantry charge. The infantry are engaged, and the Mahdi's cavalry is harassing the flanks when the remaining forces of the Mahdi drive the Southern cavalry from the field. They envelop the Southern infantry, and destroy them.

The Mahdi now has Southern Afghanistan, producing 1 metal, 1 horse, and 20 gold.

Casualties:
Southern Alliance destroyed.
Mahdian losses light, and replenished by new recruits.

The other factions are not interested in giving up their hold on power. You will need to take it from them.

At the moment, the other factions still command the loyalty of their military and civilian populations.

The Mahdi marches on Kabul, intent on liberating the city and adding it to his domain. He sends his cavalry on a long flanking attack, moving to attack the eastern infantry. The Kabulian forces move to attack the Mahdi's infantry, and they are in a hard fight when the Mahdi's cavalry strike Kabul's infantry in the flank, routing the poorly trained soldiers. The Mahdian infantry charges, sweeping into Kabul and liberating it.

Losses: Kabul and forces fall
Mahdi loses 3000 cavalry
