League of Historical Accuracy

Postby FortressDoor » 21 Jan 2014, 04:35

Hello all.

I am sure we have all noticed that this game doesn't reflect what really could have possibly happened in real life. I intend to start trying to change that, and ask you join me.

This is a lost of things I want to change. Feel free to add your own.

Declare war before invading. Powers just didn't invade each other IRL
Don't view war as first choice. Powers IRL tried to use Diplomacy to slice stuff. We should to.
Causi Belli' s should be stressed more.
No just randomly funding revolts. That just doesn't happen

I'm surprised that whole United Portuguese realm thing even occurred. People still remembered the Liberal Wars that tore the country for quite some time- it would only be a short while after the last primary source of the time died- and the last time Portugal and Brazil were united, Pedro I of Brazil forfeited his Portuguese throne to his daughter.

Also, god-mod the destruction of the Panama Canal. You think you can cut through a continent when the technology to do so hadn't even been developed properly? It took the French 13 years in 1881 to fail,

There was a rebellion in Portugal when Brazil landed first, then militia defected later. This is on top of the four or five countries Brazil fought.

I know Britain did that last game. I'm inclined to leave things GuitarMan approved intact, and reviewing everything more carefully afterward.

So much for the league huh?
First I attack without declaring war. Then Russia does. That's 2 contradictions. Twice.
