Spring 1908

Postby Pedros » 26 Oct 2012, 16:22

Another eventful turn, and no end in sight to the resistance of Germany and Austria; though Turkey now joins them with one centre (provisionally). Four retreats - France from Tunis, Italy from Marseilles and Berlin, and Turkey from Smyrna. Retreats please by 1530 BST (1030 EDT) on Saturday 27 October

Much as it's against my interest, I think Turkey's Ank-Con should have succeeded (it had support, which can't be cut from Con).

Not true. A dislodged unit has no effect on the province that dislodged it.

No, this was a case of me guessing wrong. If I had ordered Smy-Con with Ank supporting, that would have bounced 2v2; as it is, Ank was moving so Smyrna is itself unsupported; 2v1 wins and Smyrna is dislodged. I think!

attitudes has the straightforward answer. A unit which is dislodged has no effect on the space from which the attacker came (Standard Dip rules, about one paragraph after the one that says you can't cut support aganst yourself! Can't be bothered to find the link.)
