Hello all!

So I have decided to bring this out. I have been working on it for the past 2 days.

Characters:
USA, UK, France, USSR, China, Canada, Poland, Australia, India, Germany, Italy, Japan

Rules:
9 town, 3 scum. 3 of the countries could be scum every game, the rest are town.

Roles:
TOWN Roles:
1. Doctor- can save a person from a nightkill, if player chosen to save matched with scum choice for nk, the target is safe. Otherwise nothing happens.
2. Cop- can investigate any player AFTER NIGHT 1, and can only use it once. Can ask 3, questions, but NONE OF THEM THAT ASKS THEM TO REVEAL THEIR FACTION.
3. Assassin- can kill anyone during a day phase. Can only use the ability twice. Kill must be agreed upon by at least 2 people, those people must DM me if they want to kill the assassin's target too.

SCUM Roles:
1. Roleblocker- like the doctor, but prevents either of the town roles from doing their role.

If they wish to perform their role, these people must DM me on who they want to target/save.

Here's a WAYYYYY more formal Idea Dump that I'm still working on: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18NP ... sp=sharing

Thoughts?

So the cop isn't really a traditional cop? Instead they get 3 questions? Is there some sort of rule that the questions must be answered honestly or...? I feel like I'm struggling to understand the utility of that role.

Oh yeah. I forgot that. They HAVE to answer truthfully.

Sidenote: The traditional cop asks for the faction of one player and thy must respond truthfully right? If so, assume that cop catches scum and revs it in the thread they can just vote him and then end day?

Right, so, that's going to be incredibly hard to enforce. There are very few hard facts outside of roles and alignments.

If I were scum and someone asked me "Why did you vote for the townie who died yesterday," I'd say "I thought there was a reasonable case for them to be scum" and is that a lie? What has the Cop gotten from the exchange that he couldn't get in the thread?

You'd need to be pretty prescriptive with the wording on that ability.
"Do you know who the scum are?"
"...yes"
"Cool, what are their names?"

I mean, in this case you just shut up and die the next day, but it's still effectively just a normal cop.
