- All town players are assigned randomly a unique integer number between 1 and 20*. Mafia players do not receive numbers.
- Town players may only post in each day phase up to three times their number. So if you are 1, you are limited to 3 posts per day, where as 20 would have up to 60 posts per Day Phase.
- Exceeding your post limit number results in your end of day vote not being counted by the GM.
- At any time if a mafia player suspects you have exceeded your post limit in any day phase, they may PM the GM with their challenge. If they are correct, the town player is eliminated via Day Kill. If they are incorrect, the mafia loses their factional night kill ability. (Updated per Condude: Incorrect guesses also mean the GM will not process further mafia guesses during that day phase)
- Mafia night kill, because this is numberwang, is slightly odd. In this case they use the players against each other. At night, the mafia will pick one town player to kill another town player. If the killer's number is less than the victim's number, the kill is successful. If it is not, the kill fails.
- There may be roles tied to certain, but not all, numbers.
- It is possible it may be time to rotate the board.
- In a blatant steal from Crunkus's RPSLS, any player that posts "THAT'S NUMBERWANG!" leading their posts will have that post link bookmarked on the Game Map.
*This range is subject to tuning. I am also considering restricting it from 3 to 15. Or 5 to 25. Not sure yet. UPDATE: I am toying with the following formula for range: between 1 and (2 + # of town players + (2 * # of scum players))
So if I have 9 players, and a 7:2 range, then the 7 town players would get numbers between 1 and 13.
