Also we're seeing Hamilton at the Kennedy Center on 8/31!

That's... five months away! Are the shows really that much in demand?

People go crazy for it.

Geez. I'm not much of one for musicals, but I go to the symphony and other classical music concerts as often as I can. It's usually, "Hey, the symphony is playing Mendelssohn tonight. Think my parents will watch the kids?" I don't think I've ever purchased a ticket 5 months in advance.

Huh. I need to find out what this actually references, because to me this is one of McCree's voice lines in Overwatch.

It's from a previous mafia game that had very similar mechanics, run years ago. Playing For Blood by Crunkus.

Yes, I get that, but figured that also must have been a reference to something else, since I doubt Overwatch referenced a Crunkus game from PlayDip. :P

Looked it up and it’s from Tombstone. Apparently it’s old slang for “I’m the man you’re looking for.”

Uh, yeah. And I only got them because a friend with a Kennedy Center membership had her number come up in the lottery to buy tickets and I was able to get in on her batch. Otherwise they would have been kinda out of my price range.

There's a lottery to buy tickets??? I've never heard of such a thing. Youse guys on the coast are a different breed.

Also worth keeping in mind...this is fairly regular for top flight Broadway shows, it takes a lot to get a ticket to one...and the Kennedy center is just a half-tier below Broadway. And Hamilton isn't that old yet, as far as super popular plays go (would not shock me if it had a Lion King- or Wicked-esque run). Getting tickets 6 months out isn't surprising because of how long it is, it's surprising for how short it is :)

To buy them at the membership price, yeah. (Clarified that a bit in a post edit.)
