(anyone ever played "The Resistance" or "Bang"?)
--There are characters/events/references which occur in earlier movies because I wanted to avoid having a bunch of indistinguishable Stormtrooper AB 123's. This game lends itself much more easily to named roles.
--Game. 17 players, probably. Maybe 18 if it looks like th egame can get the signups.
--3 factions - a "town," a "mafia," and a two-player team with the serial killer wincondition.
--What all the roles and mechanics are is pubic knowledge from the very start of the game.
--At death, nothing is revealed. Everyone is operating blind, the town most of all.
Town: 11-13 players.
Mafia: 3-4 players.
3P: 2 players.
Still very deep in the "rough draft" stage, but current role ideas/plans include a player who learns the roles of the lynch-ees, a player who learns the roels of night-killed players, a few different "triggered" roles (e.g. "if role ____ dies, you get a 1-shot cop" and "if you lynch three townies in a row, your role activates."), a few standard power roles (e.g. doc, cop), and a few players who are almost-vanilla, save that they know the identity of one of the power roles.
Mafia gets no safeclaims.
Third party is trying to line up players to roles - they can publicly kill a player as a role. If they're wrong, they are publicly revealed. If they're right, they're still publicly revealed, but they get some manner of awesome reward to compensate for their now public nature. 1 try per day max.
