Quadrophenia Ended

Given the lack of activity from the users in question, I think we have to come to the conclusion that they have left the site. As such, I'm declaring
Russia
France
Italy

Victors of the game.
Anyone whose still interested can reveal their nation now.

Just a suggestion, but since an AAR would be akward with this variant, it might be nice in this thread to get a feeling for what people were thinking or aiming for, along with their country/group. I, for instance, would love to hear how Russia advanced toward dominance, then get beaten back by a group of nations :) Plus why France suddenly started heading out over the eastern Austrian heartland, for no apparent reason :0

My player group (me included) wasn't very communicative as about 5/7 people sort of vanished.

As to why Russia went down the tubes, I haven't the slightest idea. All I know was that back around 1904ish I saw an open Vienna and went for it. From there Italy was sort of committed.

I too am curious about that French push toward Austria.
