This variant is played on the Classic map, but that's about as close to "normal" as it gets.
The twist: Each year, countries will be re-distributed randomly. The first country a player receives is the one he wants to win, so France will still be looking to make his country powerful, even though the player himself might wind up controlling Turkish or Austrian units. Right now I'm debating whether or not to make it Winter 1900, but I think you get the idea.
Trouble and I will be co-GMing this, if we can get enough players to play. If not, he'll be willing to play.
