PbF: One thread per year instead of per turn?

I post every phase as a new thread so I can organise my games better. Every now and then a phase will throw up a contentious set of orders which leads to 15 replies on a topic. If that happened with this new organisation system it would create a nightmare for the players and GM's alike to find the orders to a specific phase. To counter that a GM would have to post the first 5 posts in a topic. The spring which they start with, the spring retreat, the autumn, the autumn retreat and the winter. That is prone to error, makes life more difficult for the GM, and removes any sort of chronological order out of the posts. The players spring retreats will be posted after the winter.

Personally, I think it would be better to try sorting out the index page than making GM's follow a posting procedure.

I'm trying out the one post per year with VR6. The problem I have now is that you can only upload 3 maps per post and with 5 phases per year I have 5 maps possible in a year.

You should be able to make multiple replies to the same single thread.

If you're actually getting comments on your forum posts, then you're probably a better candidate to do one thread per turn instead.

Most of the Discord-based games only get commentary on Discord itself, with the forum posts serving the purpose of a permanent archive.

What I'd like to propose is this: from now on, each play-by-forum game that uses Discord should create one new forum thread per game-year rather than per turn.
