Hi Morg,

I would like to learn how to play this variant. So you can sign me up please. Where can I go to read up on the game?

Thanks

Morg, you got there before me - I was waiting until Tuesday when I expect Dip 19M to finish before launching this one. But well done, and definitely put me down for it.

The official rules are at http://www.dipwiki.com/index.php?title=Imperium

And Morg - I find all the maps for Imperium pretty useless, because for some reason they always place the units smack on top of the territory names (even in the one game played here on site!) I've prepared my own version on Paint.net if it's any use to you.

Ok so we now have 5 out of 6 players, plus one alternate. Almost there, I'll post an advertisement.

Pedros, thanks for the help. I did find that quirk about the map annoying but I managed to make it work with Paint.Net. Thus all the pieces and place names are visible (and two provinces have and accidental extra capital letter, I'll fix that too).

have you considered using Blind Auction (http://www.playdiplomacy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=148&t=20967) as a method for choosing countries?

Come on - let's have at least a sixth player!

This is like no Dip game you've ever played. The Barbarian hordes invade the Roman empire as it disintegrates, to grab their supply centres. And that's only the first year!

If you're a motor racing fan it's like a Le Mans start - a foot race to your starting position then first away. Except here you can fight your way to the front as well! Not to be missed

I'm in the middle of finally updating the Colonial tournament but I take a break to ask to be put in!
Sooner or later the man who wears two faces forgets which one is real... and thus a stabbing occurs!

Alright we've got a full set. Would everyone please confirm and we'll get this ball rolling.

Also please state whether you prefer to play:
1A With River Rules as outlined above and at the site referenced by Pedros
2b W/O River Rules
3c With River Rules, making a caveat which allows supports to an uncontested province on the far side of the river.

On this measure a plurality rules. I case of a tie I will make the decision.
