We were definitely favored, those clues just aided us by totally confusing the town and the fact that we got 2 kills a night didn't help either.

There's no doubt that there are flaws in the variant, but if I hadn't slipped up last turn, the doctor would have had a chance to protect someone. Basically, when the doctor protects someone in this variant, you still get the clue, but the person isn't killed. If there had only been one mafia, it would have been too easy. Oh well, who's GMing the next game?

And what about if deanchuk hadn't dropped out? We'd have three kills a day. I think that's a no-win scenario.

The clue idea is good, though. We just need to tweak it a bit to make it fair for the town (limit number of referenced people per clue, perhaps?). For this next round, I think some classic mafia is in order though.

i'll GM the next one. I'll get a thread going in the next day or so, i'll put it together by the rules played with my friends in RL (i'll explain later). it's pretty simple and we usually had more town wins than mafia wins, though that might be because it was played f2f

Well I don't say stupid stuff that gets me killed, so I guess I have slightly improved in those terms. I also think I've gained +2 in Mafia clue writing.
