Fable Mafia 14 The Initiative Game Thread- Day Three

Flavour in Spoilers below

You get transported back to The Vigil's lair. The Vigil congratulates The Town on another excellent performance in Fable 13 before moving onto the setting for Fable 14.

"A government force known as The Initiative has settled in Sunnydale to deal with paranormal threats. Sadly this force has been manipulated by Adam, a bio-mechanical demonoid (part demon, part machine and part man) which was created by The Initiative initially to help deal with the paranormal threat. Adam has ensured a mass breakout of the demons which have been captured by The Initiative over the preceding year in order to incite a war between the two sides, hoping that that battle will allow him to seize control and create a new race of creatures similar to Adam. The members of The Initiative, aided by people from outside their organisation, seek to regain control over the demon population. The Demons aim to gain control of Sunnydale for their own purposes."

Makes sense to me - no more name claims, and I'm sure everyone can see why (even if I could not). I'm going to agree with Nook, and will vote to help lynch anyone else who claims a name to help protect Buffy.

Hey all, looking forward to playing with you all.

Tend to agree with Nook that name claims are a bad idea - upside of getting a clear towny is outweighed IMO by the potential significance of Buffy in whatever mechanics are in play.

Slight town-lean on Tomalak for rushing in where angels fear to tread. But yeah, No one claim anything. Unless, you know, you're a miller, in which case better pipe up now.

Other topic we should probably clear up is what we're doing about Adam. My inclination is to ignore him, given that while he's not town aligned by any means, for the purposes of the scum's VC he counts as town, so seems far more pressing to hunt scum. I've realised on re-reading that the rules don't explicitly state whether or not we need to kill him to win - assuming given the nature of his VC that simply killing the scum is sufficient. Will PM sjg about that, if we have to kill him then may need to rethink this, but for the moment I want to focus on scumhunting, which avoids giving scum legitimate busywork to do.
