Sorry Sinny, I do share a fraction of the blame

I tried my best to stop one of his solos, but the cards just didn't play out quite right in that one.

Hope to meet you again one of these days and perhaps things might turn out differently

You know where to find me . :geek:

Given that tournament didn't end up going anywhere i don't mind so much anymore about not making the 1915 deadline. Was one of the funnest games i've played in a while, at least when i play it back in my mind in fast-forward (have i mentioned lately how much i hate 3 day deadlines?).

Yea I think I seem to recall you mentioning something about those deadlines once or twice.

It might amuse you to know I just picked up a surrendered position in a 5/5/5 game :o . I've been busy as hell in school and have been hesitant to join any games. In fact, this is the first game with communications I have joined since the one we finished months ago. I think I'm going to just keep taking it easy for a while and focus on RL. I can't even think about joining the short deadline games I know you prefer.

I definitely agree with your take on that game, especially looking back on it now. It was an absolutely crazy game. The only thing I look back on and wish was different was if it had just been a regular game, without all the race to 1915 stuff. I'm still pretty sure that would have meant a three-way draw.

Then again, that probably added to the insanity of the game, so maybe that was a necessary element that factored into why that game was such a crazy shootout. Definitely in the top three I've played here, so no complaints from me. One of the greatest fights I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of.

Anyway, back to the topic of the OP ( ;) ), that 14/23 is a nice ratio of units/centers, though I'm not sure anyone can top that 11 unit Russia (I didn't think anyone would have won with a total lower than twelve).

I've got 11/18 one as Turkey:

(don't know how to post pictures)

As you can probably see, I got quite lucky with a very trusting ally here. I don't think this one's the most glowing advertisement for A/T alliances

Just found this thread again and figured I'd bump it. Maybe some good examples have come about in the last five years or so.

Conq got a solo at the ongoing Nexus tournament I just found where he soloed as Italy with 18 centers and only 10 units.
