Mentor Game 01-Jun-15 #2 started

If you are new to the site, and especially if you are new to the game, this might be a good way to start some games. Mentors will help with the mechanics of the game.

Mentor Game 01-Jun-15 #2 started

Postby asudevil » 26 May 2015, 18:11

Mentor games are for beginners to play together and learn the basics of Diplomacy and how the website interface works with an experienced player available to answer questions. Any player that thinks they might benefit from a teaching game may join:

  • Looking to play your first game?
  • Have played before, but it was some time ago and feel rusty?
  • New to PlayDip and want to get used to the interface?
  • Been on site for awhile and would like some pointers?
All are welcome. If you are interested in playing, either reply in this thread or use the site PM system to contact me. This game is slated to begin on June 1st, but we will start before then if we get a full roster. If you sign up this week but do not get a spot, you will be given priority in the 8-June mentor game.

Due to high demand, we will run two mentor games this week.

This week's games are full. If you are interested in playing a mentor game, post on this thread and your name will be transferred to next week's game.

Priority New Players are users that were on the New Signups list for a prior game and did not have a chance to play. They (along with the enough players the New Signups list to fill the board) will get a 2-day priority window to join this game before the password will be sent out to all New Signups.

Veteran players fill open spots from surrenders in our games. If you are a vet and interested in helping the teaching effort, please let us know and we will add you to the veteran standby list.

Hi,

I would be interested in a Mentor game. I played in University in 1970 or so (yup, I am old) and a bit online several years ago. Have to go an buy a game as I am better seeing an actual board. Thanks.

Added Sauron Jones to the new signups list. He PMd me.

Welcome guys...Ill be sending out the password to "new guys" when the priority players run out of time...odds are ... I will probably only give them 36 hours...not the full 48 so we can get this game started as quick as possible.

Here's hoping you all get in as well.

Hi!

I'm interested in joining a mentor game. We recently just started playing this game in a history class of mine at school and I found it really interesting. Thanks in advance!

This game has always seemed fun to me, but I have never got around to playing it. I would definitely be interested in a mentor game. Thanks!

Due to high demand, we will run a second game this week. Password is out to all players.
