Mentor Game 9-Feb-15 started

If you are new to the site, and especially if you are new to the game, this might be a good way to start some games. Mentors will help with the mechanics of the game.

Mentor Game 9-Feb-15 started

Postby WHSeward » 04 Feb 2015, 01:58

Mentor games are for beginners to play together and learn the basics of Diplomacy and how the website interface works with an experienced player available to answer questions. Any player that thinks they might benefit from a teaching game may join:

  • Looking to play your first game?
  • Have played before, but it was some time ago and feel rusty?
  • New to PlayDip and want to get used to the interface?
  • Been on site for awhile and would like some pointers?
All are welcome. If you are interested in playing, either reply in this thread or use the site PM system to contact me. This game is slated to begin on February 9th, but we will start before then if we get a full roster. If you sign up this week but do not get a spot, you will be given priority in the 16-Feb mentor game.

The information for our current mentor game is below:

I would like to play, too. My skills are a little rusty after 3 years of not playing playdiplomacy. Could you add me to the list?

Hello, I am new here, and new to this game. Wikipedia just introduced me to this game, and I am very excited to start. Too bad the current mentor game had started. But waiting for the next one is too long... Should I just join a random game instead? Would it be considered bad sport to simply join a public game even though I had very little clues about even basic strategies?
