Do Games Have A Master?

Hi all, I'm yet to start my first game here, its still awaiting confirmation from all 7 players, people seem to be dropping out already, and we haven't even started yet! What I can't seem to find anywhere here is info on how games are run. Does each one have a human " Master", or are they adjudicated and run by the site's system? I previously played using the DipJudge, and each game had a Master you could contact with any queries specific to that particular game, such as to request a deadline extension. With the game I signed up for there is no indication of who set it up, or if anyone is actually running it.

The game is run by an auto-judge, I think?

It's all run by the computer. If you have an issue..contact a mod. But you shouldn't.

That's what I thought, thanks to both of you. So I guess you can't request an extension for deadlines then.

In game there is a pause request feature that if everyone agrees too can change the deadlines.

If there is an emergency...it's POSSIBLE to do it from an admin side...but we generally don't...which is why we have the pause feature.

Thanks asudevil. Hopefully I won't need any extensions. But in my last game, with a human Master, he granted an extension at another player's request, which I had no problem with. However, the other player then cancelled the extension, and the Master put the deadline back to the original time without receiving confirmation from anyone, causing me to miss out on amending my orders, with very serious consequences for me. I PM'ed the Master to voice my dissatisfaction and he didn't even do me the courtesy of replying! So, having an automated game is no problem for me at all, as I don't want a repeat of that situation.
