I am in no way an approved mentor for this site, but I am a professional educator, and would be happy to teach the game if you're new. In fact, one player asked me to create a teacher game, because my advice was so helpful.

No replies? Well, I have done my mentor game long, long ago. And, I'm STILL learning 
But I do have utmost respect for you offering your services. In my view, it would not take much cajoling to get WHSeward or super_dipsy to grant you "official" status for overseeing mentor games. And I'm sure that taking some of the time/effort workload off of the "regular staff" would be much appreciated.
I would urge you to PM both of the above-mentioned demigods regarding this role.
