Fall 652

Postby Pedros » 19 Jan 2011, 21:33

Map and adjudication now corrected

Before lambasting Anglia for an NMR I have my own apology to make. Wales' army in Powys somehow disappeared off the plain map last season. I've no idea how it happened, and I hope nobody's going to complain that it fundamentally affected what they did, because if so I've no idea how we would get over that one.

Secondly, NMR frojm Anglia. Warning to Acemaster - another miss on the next movement phase will bring ejection.

And Northmbria has paid a heavy price for missing last year's build phase. But no retreats, so we move straight to the builds.

Builds are due at 1930 GMT (1030 Pacific) tomorrow, Thursday 20 January. I will aim to process them immediately, since I'm away from Friday to Sunday. (Earlier would be good)

Pedros:

As far as I can see, you never updated the map for Anglia's spring moves, and you have adjudicated Fall on the basis of the (inaccurate) Anglian positions on the Spring map.

I think it is only my moves that are directly affected, but it would be as well to have the map accurate a.s.a.p.

Thanks,

K

Shucks! Did nobody notice that before (and I've heard from Acemaster since the deadline, but did he really never even check what happened!)? I know WarSmith pointed out the arrows weren't there, but....

Anyway, I'm really sorry - particularly since there isn't a truly fair way around this. Obviously the map has to be corrected for Spring, but what then? I could declare the Fall orders void and order a repeat phase - but that would enable you all to alter your moves on the basis of what you know other people's intentions are! On the other hand, those around the South East could argue that they'd have moved differently if they'd seen the correct position.

On reflection I don't think anybody has been seriously disadvantaged on this last phase (although Ireland's ECH-SOD obviously works now), and although I'll listen to any arguments otherwise I'm leaving the results as they stand. I'll update the Spring maps and Fall adjudication now.

And the Build deadline is unchanged.
