It's good to be back and rolling with this game. I hope everyone has by now exchanged pleasantries with our new Austria and the scheming is back on!
I'll start where i normally do as a regular left-right reading anglophile: with England. The British empire seems to have discovered the value of holding off-board spaces and using them as a stalemate line--could this stymie future Chinese growth? France on the other hand, pulls out of southeast asia with an inconceivable long journey back to the central Atlantic. Meanwhile French efforts in the Mediterranean are met with stiff resistance this spring, though the French sights may be set on African territories instead.
Russia breaks from tradition with a mobile strategy, although they lack the strength in numbers to succeed. Our new Austrian plays it safe to start off, though it appears as though his nation has less to fear from England and France than what a certain curious observer might have previously thought...
Turkey desperately defends from both sides against French and Indian attacks, though the cracks in the armor are starting to show. For India, the westward invasion shows some promise, but France continues to throw a wrench into Indian logistics. China meanwhile continues to cast doubt on the seemingly impregnable Indo-Chinese alliance with a convoy into the Philippines--only time will tell if this is a planned move or the start of something revolutionary
Lastly we can finally pull the plug on the vegetative Japanese state. Although their ruler may not even be reading this, we bid him thanks for his initial strong participation and wish him better luck in future diplomacy endeavors.

Surprisingly, there are no retreat orders to be submitted. We continue straight on to fall.
