WD3 Draw Proposal #7 - Rejected

Postby AlphaTangoEcho » 23 Jan 2010, 04:24

Dear Leaders of the Last remaining empires on Earth in World Dip 3,

Today marks the 1 month anniversary of the last moves that were resolved in World Dip 3.

One thing I have noticed about forum games is that a key part is momentum. That is why you see so many forum games die when the GM starts to chronically extend deadlines 24 hrs, 48 hrs, 72 hrs, and beyond.

I think it will be hard to restart this game, even when MR returns, as we have no momentum.

Futhermore, in talking with players, there was a very good chance that the game would have ended after this year had the game gone on as scheduled. This is unlike WD4, where the game still can go so many ways.

Therefore, I think it is time to end this game.

Draw Proposal For:

Colombia
Europe - REJECTED
Libya- accepted
United States

Also need approval from:
AK of the New Republic of China
Raphtown- accepted
Raphtown of the New Republic of China

Raphtown accepts, and the Raphtown part of NRC awaits what the AK half says.

This isn't an outright rejection but I would point out that this game would be easier to resurrect than WD4 because there's so few members left in this game, all of whom are still active. And I still don't see why we can't just get a replacement GM to finish things up. No one's given me any reason why that isn't possible.

Also, even if we never reach a formal draw in this game, it's pretty much just the same as if we did, except that Raphtown and AK actually are included too, which means it makes almost no sense for them to accept it.

I think it just deserves saying.

EDIT: And by the way, It's "Colombia".

Think "O".

Because MR has the maps, and he hasn't read a pm I sent him 3 weeks ago.

The map can be made from the maps posted, but it's an ugly, time-consuming process. Especially for such a big map. If anyone has a good 2-3 hours they weren't doing anything with...

That's not so bad. MR made up a whole country.
