Draw Offers?

Postby Diplomat » 13 Sep 2008, 04:52

I've just realized we never established a way to Draw this game to a close. Early on there was discussion about coalitions taking the win and whatnot, but I'm assuming the only requirement is 44 centers in the coalition and everyone accepting the draw?

According to site rules, I could declare victory right now if everyone agreed to give me the victory. I guess we can propose draws in the forum. I just don't think 44 centers in necessarily necessary.

necessarily necessary.

I vote Frankx3 wins it all for managing to make that sensible in his sentence.

OK. 3 yes's.

Only 3 more answers needed. DK and frank still get to vote right?

Sorry guys. I voted down the last serious attempt at a draw because I felt that the southern hemisphere was still anybodies game, things have sort of changed in that area now and it is correct that five major powers have emerged, still, I think it would be a shame to end this in a 5-way draw, especially now that the tides have changed and at least one player is suddenly finding his position of "power" as unstable, to say the least.
I feel that I have to vote NO to this draw offer aswell, sorry.

Yorkshireman voted no so the game goes on, and yes, I believe Frank and DK would still get a vote, just like in the regular game, even though they are the weakest of the powers. 4-5 turns ago I was convinced YSMan was done for and he has come on very strong taking his home centers back and growing in the southern hemisphere.

Clearly DK is next ! Watch out world, here he comes!

Since this thread is called draw offers, I thought Id post my lastest revision of the draw here. I am aware some very-egocentric superpowers only will settle for a smaller draw. Therefore, I propose a draw that includes Pacific Russia, India, South Africa, and.....Western North America.....(No just kidding. Ghana, of course) It is no mistake that I have not written Canada in this edition of my biannual proposal. I am very forgettful right now and under a lot of stress. I would be content to follow in past Canadian leaders' footsteps by remaining unnoticed. I dont really deserve to be in at this point. So, I hope we can all put aside our ambitions of 3 way draws and just end this. I am really looking foward to hearing these AARs and I know I am not alone when I say that. So...how bout it?

Responces

Pac Russia: accepted
India:
South Africa: no ....DAMN YOU!
Canada: accepted
Western North America:
Kenya:
GHANA:

(I hope I didn't forget anyone. Sorry if I did)
