Delay

Postby ogum » 19 May 2008, 05:01

Hey guys,
I wasn't really sure where I could put this threat and decided that this would be the best place...?
But just wondering is it normal to have a few hours delay after each set of orders/ builds/ retreats? Though the timer indicates that the time for a phase has ended, and the timer has begun on the next phase, the orders themselves aren't actually registering.
Thanks in advance

Shouldn't be a delay of hours after the end of a phase. A few minutes, perhaps.

It could be an error but I have found the site to quite stable.

Try posting the game names and maybe someone else has input. It strikes me as odd that all 4 of the games ahs the same issue.

I am actually having the same issue. This is definitely unusual...could be high server load.

This happens for every game - it takes a few minutes to process the turn. Usually it's only 5-10 minutes tops, and then the clock will reset to the correct time amount for the turn. Sometimes it does take longer though - not sure why, but I've had at least one game that took a couple hours to process. If you'll notice, your game deadlines will get later and later in the day - this is why.

I think i found an answer to this problem. I had the same problem and i asked about it in a game once. I think the solution is to log off and log in again. I tried it and it seemed to work.

I find that a hard refresh works, too.

CTRL+F5 on a PC, Command+Shift+R on a Mac.

I doubt the log-on/log-off actually works. It's not your computer or account delaying it, it's the game itself. Plus, I've tried that before, and it hasn't worked for me, so... :P
