I believe Flatley is correct here... the logic is much the same as a "self-bounce." Put differently, it's as if 2 Mexican forces and 2 Japanese forces are bumping heads with each other over Eq. Counter then bouncing back, while the current occupant -- which happens to be Mexican -- is ducking for cover while the action is happening "over" him...

Here are my totals, based on actual counts of centers and forces, with two caveats/assumptions:

1) This count reflects current status shown on the map -- any "auto-destructs" during retreat phase will alter build totals
2) It is hard to make out some little island colors -- I assumed that both GLP and SCT belong to Mexico; if that's wrong, then Mexico & Brazil would be adjusted accordingly.

..........Centers.....Forces.....Build
Turkey.....34..........32........ +2
France.....24..........23........ +1
USA.........23..........20....... +3
China.......21..........16....... +5
Brazil.......19..........17....... +2
Mexico.....16..........15....... +1
Japan......13..........14....... - 1
Russia......11..........13...... - 2
Prussia......6...........7....... - 1
Britain.......3...........6....... - 3
Holland......2...........3....... - 1
Austria......0
CSA..........0

I tried to be pretty meticulous with the counting, but obviously everyone needs to double check their own countries and speak up if there is an error...

Double check the count on my units. I know I only picked up one center, but I still think I may be a unit short.

let's both count -- I counted yours and Mexico's twice to try to be sure I was not double-counting any of the units that show up on both sides of the world...

just counted twice again, and still come up with 17 units (don't forget New Zealand)...

My units are fine, its the centers that are wrong.
I have 11 homeland centers, 3 islands (counting NZ), and 5 African centers.
11 + 3 + 5 = 19 centers.

Retsam is right -- I am counting the following 19 centers:

In Brazil (11) -- BRC, PRM, CVN, LMA, REC, BRA, LPA, RDJ, PRG, OLI, URU
Africa (5) -- GOS, IVC, OMN, OKN, CTN
Islands (3) -- NZE, FLK, SGR (that's it -- I think SGR is the one I was missing)

(I will edit the posted list accordingly)

Kirbati S Eq Countercurrent to Hawaii
Coral S Fiji to Eq Countercurrent
Fiji to Eq Countercurrent BOUNCED

If i remember correctly from another error, since a unit cannot displace one of the same country the supported unit of Mexico either "failed" or "didn't correspond" due to the Hawaiian bounce leaving his fleet in the Countercurrent. So my fleets should have been able to advance since they were moving against opposing forces.

I would like to withdraw this appeal. I am quite happy with the current location of my fleets (sort of)

And, as usual, AardvarkArmy's counts were a bit off...

Well done!

[funny how ray's counts always seem to undercount me and/or my allies, while -- snap! -- I managed to undercount one of his...]
