Game dead?

Postby Pedros » 11 Nov 2010, 17:30

We've lost our second GM and one of the frontrunners at the same tim. In a game of four nations that's quite a lot.

Discussion between the three survivors has been a bit inconclusive, but it feels to me like this is dead. Pity - it's been enjoyable up to this point. And God knows what the result is!

paulus and DOI - do you agree?

It feels dead, but if some GM wants to revive it, that would be nice.

i am a late arrival, but i agree Pedros, unfortunately. I did play in the previous Baltic, which I think DOI GMd, yes? I was able to broker a 3-way draw (and yes, it is a 4-player game). I don't imagine it was at all satisfying for the GM (my apologies), but it was fun nonetheless, with what felt to be a conclusion for me. Unlike this one which had Pedros ramping up for a solo. I am prepared to publicly acknowledge you as the victor if it helps Pedros, but i'd suggest just trying to start anew.

Too kind paulus - I'm certainly not going to claim or even accept victory in a game which isn't over by a long way (victory is something like 15 centres and I'm on about 8!!)

My 'What's the result going to be?' question was more about is it a 3-way DIAS (since we have no Russia at present)? I'm OK if it is, but this was a cracking game building up to a real climax, and I'm sorry it's ending like this, whatever the outcome would have been (and I can't believe that Russia didn't manage to turn at least one of you!!)
