Possible to change settings of a game?

Postby FANIMAL » 09 Dec 2016, 15:46

Hi everybody,

Quick question ... as a creator of a recent game, I realized it might have been better to allow for "Finalization" of orders to advance to the next phase. Mistakenly, I chose Fixed deadlines ONLY. Is there any way to alter the game settings at this time to allow for this? Or, if not, would there be a way to change the phase durations so that the game moves at a quicker pace?

Thanks all for your help

There is, but it will require superuser intervention.

I suggest that you start by asking that every player place a post in the public press assenting to the change in rules. Should each do so, it will streamline the admin's task.
Be more aggressive.

Yes, what Zosimus said :)

If you do not have any players in the game yet, if you go to Join Game and find the game you will see there is a DELETE button which will let you kill it and start again. If you already have players joined and the game is running, then you do need the agreement of all other active players to change it. The reason is that the others joined the game thinking it was fixed deadlines, and they may or may not be happy to change.

I should also have said - if it is a Friends game, there is no problem since it is assumed you know each other and therefore all you have to do is ask and it shall be done!
