Forum rules
In addition to the general Forum Guidelines (see here: http://www.playdiplomacy.com/forum/view ... 30&t=15441), there are additional rules for posting in this forum.
1. Members should not refer directly to a specific situation in an active game. It is usually possible to provide an example of a similar situation elsewhere on the board.
2. It follows that links, images, game name and/or number should not be added to a post if the game is active.
3. Questions should only request rules be clarified and not request advice about how to resolve a situation.
4. When answering a question, members should restrict themselves to answering the question and not give advice on how to get around the situation.
Posts which break these rules will be subject to editing or removal; see here: http://www.playdiplomacy.com/forum/view ... 13&t=42845

How to remove / delete a game.

Postby Marc_B » 14 Feb 2008, 22:15

Ok, we were trying to set up our first game, and we created several games before getting to the one we're playing with.
The question is: how to remove the games that we won't be playing anyways.
The games are also locked with a password, so no other players can jump in.

I hope a moderator/admin is reading this. Let me know how to remove those games.
If I can't remove the game, I'll provide the admin with the names of the games and we can remove them from the system, and free those precious bits!

- Marc.

I played a game where we needed to change the parameters as we all agreed it was too slow and Jan de Volver changed it for us. I'm sure he can do this but it would be good if there was a facility to self-destruct or whatever!!

How can I contact Jan de Volver? We also like to speed up our game.

As the website grows bigger, I won't be able to change settings for all games for everyone :?

Hey Avalanche,

I realise that you're probably getting very busy managing the site, and congrats by the way!

Before figuring out how to create the game that I wanted, I unfortunately created two 'false' games before realising that I could not get rid of them.
Both games are called 'The List's Game' and are both passworded.

Could you please delete these?

Furthermore, do you have any plans on being able to change the pace of the game ourselves, because I think we're going to want to speed up the game we're in at the moment, namely 'The Parisian Connection'.

Thanks again for the site! Sure beats judging orders and creating bitmap maps for everyone!
