What Are Friends Games?

Postby DipInRoad » 18 Apr 2014, 09:30

Could someone point me towards a definition of what a Friends game is and, in particular, what is the difference in standards of behaviour between Friends and No Rank?

I've tried searching the site but I'm told that the words 'friend', 'friends', 'game' and 'games' are too common and produce too many results, no matter what combination I try.

If there is a general definition of the 4 game types I'd appreciate a link.

Also, any threads that discuss what's allowed, or expected, within each game type would also be appreciated.

Here is a link to how the different game categories are treated, look under section C.

Short answer definition, friends games are for people where they know all of the players outside of the site and they don't mind meta-gaming. Sometimes people without a board also use it for face to face games (where there's obvious meta-gaming violation).
There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand hexadecimal, and F the rest...
